Addressed the students of Apparel, Clothing and Textiles at Eldoret University.
February 2013 – May 2013 • London, UK
Designed prints from a client brief on the theme of “Celebrating the Ocean”, creating colourful coral bed and oceanic scenes. The line of prints were digitally printed onto silk and made into beach kimonos for a high-profile launch event of a coral friendly sunscreen company at Selfridges.
Sourced and briefed the digital printer and worked alongside the seamstress.

Running my own women’s fashion label.
Developed a loyal customer base with many repeat purchases.
Created my own branding, logo and visual merchandising, which led to growing sales.
Organised models for photo shoots for the brand image and look-books.
Selected to participate in a two-day exhibition in Madrid. I had my own boutique stall and did my own hosting, networking, marketing and sales; including, branded labels and swing tags.
Designing and developing a small capsule collection of prints for a line of scarves and Kimonos.
Creating prints for collaborations with Kenyan designers.
Sourcing and liaising with fabric printers and manufacturers in the UK and overseas and comparing price points, for sample and main production.

Design development: new ideas and shapes for garments and mood boards, fashion
Flat drawings for specification sheets for use by factories in Portugal and China.
Input and market research for new collections, particularly the Chanel-inspired Paul Costelloe petite range for John Lewis.
During London Fashion Week for S/S 2010, responsible for sourcing trims and In-house fit model.

Responsible for designing a wide range of fabrics, predominantly for men’s shirting, for top-end clients including Joseph Turner, Harvie & Hudson, Roderick Charles and other Jermyn St. shirt makers.
Colour matching yarns to HSV number and Pantone references for the seasonal collections.
Designed a range for House of Pyjamas, for boys’ and girls’ nightwear.
I regularly visited overseas trade fairs including Premiere Vision in Paris and Unica in Milan.
